Day 46- Back on track after ups and downs
Christmas was good. Mom came and slept over and we watched movies. Aunt Carol also came for dinner. Got my new bras. Yay! No more slipping off my shoulders! (I HATE THAT!) Threw some old ones away. Got a new Citizens Eco Drive watch that is solar powered. PJs. Perfume. Oh, and my favorite: Wii Zumba 2! Love it! Better than the first one. I am down to 164.5 lbs.
Looks like David is going to residential treatment for a few months. Just status quo. David busted a door, and his new pair of glasses (which replaced the last pair he broke out of anger!) He admits he can't control himself and even goes to say "consequences? Why should there be consequences?" So we had a meeting yesterday, Paul, myself, David's mentor and his counselor. We are having a meeting with the state worker next week to plan it and will tell David at that time. No sense having him riled up for a week. He will not like it at all! Don't blame him, but things cannot continue this way. I love him and I feel SO guilty but I have to follow through. This will not be easy for anyone. and this place is over an hour away.
Got a new book called "The Petite Advantage" by Jim Karas. I am on chapter 3. He was on Dr Oz the other day. This talks about women 5'4" and under. It is harder for us to lose weight and he explains why. We actually need less calories than someone taller. Makes so much sense to me! it goes into boosting metabolism, weight bearing exercise, sleep, etc. Oh, and eating breakfast every day. Anyway, like I said, I am on chapter 3.
I have done a lot of cooking and cleaning and cooking and cleaning and cooking and cleaning this week! Paul's sister and brother in law coming today. Have family coming for New Year's dinner.
My brother did not have a heart attack per se, but was rushed to hospital last week as they could not get his heart rate down. Deja vu for me!!! I had a big heart to heart with him. Stress big time. Panic attacks? he says no. But the symptoms were too much like mine 7/29/10 when I was rushed to the hospital. The only difference, I got to the hospital and my heart rate dropped. They had to "zap" his to get it back in rythm. his kids are 5 and 1. Hopefully, he puts his life into perspective and quits worrying about the past and things he has NO control over and cannot change!
I am so tired of family drama. But I guess we all have to deal with that. Take the good with the bad. I should count my blessings and be happy I have a family. LOVE my Remmy and Kona!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and Happy Hanukah to you all!

I only know to support you with gentle ((hugs)) and good thoughts. If I were feeling better I know the \'brain fog\' would not be as severe and I could share more but the ((hugs)) are from the heart and meant to bring some needed healing and we can always use that.
More of the same
((hugs))

Sending you hugs of love and affection. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Thumbs up for a nice Christmas. Looks like Santa was very nice to you!
I am saddened to hear about David going to a Residental home but I pray it will help. Someday he may break more than his glasses!
I was reading a thread on the Diets & Weight Man. board about short people losing weight. Interesting thread.
Huge Hugs!
The thread on Diets & Weight Management written by ME, Living Water a/k/a Judy, is the same thing Kahlua a/k/a Yvette, is talking about in this Journal. The book/diet is Petite Women\'s Advantage and was featured on Dr. Oz show. It should be called Petite Women\'s DISadvantage, shouldn\'t it? After all, short people ain\'t got no reason to live (the song) and now it\'s shown we ain\'t got no reason to EAT either?? Oh, well, as they say, we gotta play the hand we were dealt.
I meant Diets & Weight Maintenance, not Management.
Great news to hear about your weight! You\'re my superhero of the day!!!
Sorry to hear of David\'s problems...my Friend, John, has a brother like that too. I don\'t see nor hear from my five older brothers. I give you all the kudos! You\'re a pretty terrific sister, you know!
Take care. Peace&Love, Franciann
That\'s no fair! Losing weight should be the same for everyone, but understandably it isn\'t. Well, nice to have the insight the book is providing.
I really want to try Zumba. I just fear I would stumble and fumble around and it would be caught on video.
I am glad you are being listened to about David and hope all goes well for him and for you with the home.
Love ya!
Great news about your weight. Keep it up.
Hope all goes well with David.
Let me know how this book works for you.
Hope you enjoyed your New Year\'s Eve
have a very healthy happy new year. I hope this is the year you and David can get together and straighten things out.
