Day 4 Update: Anxious about moving forward!!!
Not feeling too good today. After hearing I could proceed with my mini-IVF despite my cyst, I felt ok but today I've been researching and googling cysts (ugh, I know, I know, google can be such a terrible thing). Guess I can thank that awful drug clomid for this 42 mm cyst. I don't know if I should be concerned about this, even if my RE isn't (my estrogen levels are within normal range, 45, so they said that's why I am ok to proceed with another cycle). I don't know, I am just feeling very uneasy about this cycle and about taking more clomid with an already large cyst in me. I got a huge liver tumor 10 years ago from the BCP and now I can't help but feel like (although this is much different) reminiscent of that....like my body just doesn't do well with meds or drugs....I am starting to think I always seem to be the girl who has issues with hormonal drugs. I just hate so much that this is my only option to get pregnant. I have a call and email into the RE to talk about this. Of course I haven't heard from them yet so I figured I might as well journal my anxiety here!

Not sure if this will help, but for each IVF cycle I always had a cyst or cysts on my left side. My RE was never concerned and I was always able to produce enough follies and actually more follies on the side with the cyst. Hopefully it will be the same for you as well! I understand the anxiety from the standpoint of starting another cycle, I am anxious each time! Hopefully this is your cycle!
I don\'t think you are over reacting. I am learning more and more that we have to advocate for ourselves because these doctors really do not consider all of the factors of each individual. They treat us like meat, lol. I hope that the clomid doesn\'t make it worse. Thinking of you!
ktk, you are sooooo right! I\'ve learned not only from this whole fertility process, but other health stuff, that we truly need to be our own advocates!
I\'m sorry you are having a bad day. I would be torn on what to do also. If you feel a certain way, I think we should always follow our gut, but then at the same time the dr. is saying everything is fine and you should trust them, because, they are the dr., ugh must be so frustrating. Glad you put a call in and hopefully they can reassure you that all will be ok.
I agree with advocating for yourself. I fully believe I have thyroid issues now from the IVF drugs. My endocrinologist thinks that too. The drugs we take are powerful things. But if your RE thinks its safe to proceed it probably is. Just speak to them and ask again. Oh and stay away from google. It can sometimes be the worst.
I was in your exact position with the cyst and normal estrogen and I also googled the heck out of it. Really not helpful for me! Honestly I don\'t think doctors know very much about how cysts affect ivf- not much has been published on the topic. But it\'s common and in my experience re\'s air on the side of caution and delay things so you are probably going to be just fine! I hope you can get the reassurance from your doctor and have a successful cycle!!!! Hugs
I agree with everyone. You need to trust yourself and make sure you are feeling good about pursuing this cycle. I also know that cyst are coming with IVF, I\'ve had at least one, and that your RE wouldn\'t give you the go ahead if he was worried, they do tend to be on the safer side in my experience and won\'t hesitate to delay a cycle. It\'s important that you talk to your RE to at least get answers to your questions considering your past. You have every reason to be worried with your history and need to feel safe during this process.
I\'m thinking of you !
Thank you everyone! Ideally, I would take a cycle off but I\'m out of time between my age and having to have gallbladder surgery so I think I\'m gonna move forward and hope for the best! I have to believe that my RE wouldn\'t allow me to continue if there was a big risk, even though I also do know that we really need to be our own advocates.
Well, I can understand your being anxious about all these drugs we pump into our bodies. Plus, you had the liver tumor. I think you are smart to be concerned and ask questions - always ask questions. I\'m glad you are doing the next cycle right away because I always worry about the time (bio clock).
