Day 4 evening
Good day today.
A bit fuzzy headed in the morning but as the day went on it lifted. I am again quite tired, but I worked hard today and that could be a part of it.
I'll need to get up a bit earlier tomorrow in order to journal, stretch and make sure I can make my lunch and snacks. Going in an hour earlier tomorrow.
When I was fuzzy headed this morning, it crossed my mind for a brief second that if I drank, I wouldn't be fuzzy headed. The fuzzy headedness is temporary. It will pass as I adjust to no alcohol. Drinking makes no sense in this case and is the exact opposite of what I hope to achieve. I don't drink.
The drive home was easy. I still make note of the nearest liquor store to wherever I am driving, but that is habit. I ate my first snack and a good lunch. I did miss my second break. I'll pay better attention to that tomorrow.
I got a couple relaxation cds to try out for fun. I don't know that I will get to them tonight, but maybe the weekend.
Goals for tomorrow: water, my breaks and lunch. I'd like to bike again tomorrow morning and do tonglen as well as stretch, but I don't want to overload so will play it by ear. I've missed banging out some household chores the last couple days, too. This is only day 4 so I need to give myself a break. All in good time.
Again I need my main goal to be not to stop at the liquor store on the way home from work. As I approach my weekend, I need to be really vigilant and thoughtful. For now concentrate on tomorrow, and go home along the river. Then grab the highway and do not take the backroad. Go straight home. Meeting this goal is very important to me. I am fully committed to making this life change. You are not the leaves of the tree.

I find I\'m having the same problem....avoiding the \"drive home\" routine. I\'ve changed my routes home so that it throws my mind to think about something else (sometimes it works!)....
I will try that. It is my biggest challenge without a doubt.
Congratulations on 2 full days. You\'re not alone, and it helps me to know that I am not alone. Thank you.
