Day 30-35- Frustrated

Well, ups and downs I guess .  But overall, I am going in the right direction.  I am down to 165.5 lbs.  2.5 lbs down total.  I am frustrated by how hard it is to lose the weight, and the time frame, and how easy it is to gain.  I have to stay vigilant and focused.  I am really trying harder to focus on the goal.  It is much harder this time of the year with the stress, the holidays, work, Paul and David, holiday parties, holiday related foods (like cookies), and parties.
if I keep my calories around 1500, AND I exercise, I lose weight.  Once I got over 2000 calories, regardless of exercise, I gain.  I am keeping track every day.  That is a plus.  I am exercising almost every day.  That is also a plus.
I am decorating the main Christmas tree today and trying to get in the holiday spirit.  At least it is not raining today.  We went to see a dear friend of mine from high school last night to a Christmas party.  Only one from HS I really keep in touch with.  Haven't seen her in almost 10 years!!!  I have missed her SO much!  It was so nice!  Snowed on the way home and David and I walked the dogs when we got home in the snow.  Very pretty with the Christmas lights!  (no real accumulation though.)
Paul fixed the dryer.  it was the heating element.  $75 for the stupid part!  And Paul fixed it himself!  David.  OMG.  Just off this week.  Angry and beligerant.  Driving me crazy.  Last week he got mad because I told him no more sweets.  The kid is living on meat and cakes and cookies!  he got mad and threw cake all over my kitchen then walked out the door for several hours.  I am just so tired of the constant arguing/yelling between Paul and David.  I am simplifying the situation with David and the cake as it started with big blow up with Paul and David.  But it is bad.  Today so far is a good day and David is chipping in cleaning and getting ready for Christmas.  We will take a break later and take the dogs for a walk.  We all could use the fresh air and exercise.

Glad to hear you have your dryer fixed. Look on the bright side - you didn\'t have to pay for the part and the repairman. Hope things smooth out for you soon. Have a good week.

You are not alone in the struggle to lose the weight this time of year! It is super hard with all the festivities. Soon we will be past this and back to some normalcy.
Good about the dryer! Sad to hear David had another blow up and tossed cake all over. But glad to hear he is doing better today and helping you clean.

You are doing great this time of year with your weight.. It\'s tough. You now know you can\'t go above 2,000 cal. that\'s a start.
It\'s a shame that David and Paul get into these arguments. maybe you can take a walk when they do that.(provided you are not working). let them deal with it.
Glad your dryer is fixed. Nice Paul could do it.
How wonderful you got together with a High school friend that you haven\'t seen in years.
Happy Holidays..hugs.

Cleaning up cake all over does not sound fun. Sorry that happened.
Glad the dryer was an easy fix and not a new machine being budgeted for.
It\'s frustrating having to work so hard to lose weight - I am the same way - but at the same time I remind myself that there are skinny people who don\'t exercise and improve their strength and keep their muscles and bones working like those of us that have to exercise this much. I had a super skinny friend land on her foot wrong and shatter her lower leg and ankle. She smokes a lot and drinks a lot of beer but never exercises at all and doesn\'t eat right. I eat right, exercise a ton, but could crush her if I sat on her. Yet I don\'t think my bones would shatter if I stepped wrong. So that\'s something!
