Day 3- Chugging
Bad parts of the day: David bugged me last night about getting a tattoo with his brother's and sister's name. I told him no, and I did not want to talk about it. He is only 14! This AM, Paul finds (in David's bathroom), a paper towel covered in blood, 2 broken pens, ink all over, 1 bent paper clip covered in ink and blood! You can just imagine what I thought! Apparently he poked himself in the foot twice to test it out. It hurt too much, so he stopped. OMG. I am PRAYING that the stupidness wears off!!! He also pierced his own ears. Ugh! Did I ever say "I hate teenagers?" For those of you that have survived, I want to know the secret. for those of you with young children "God Bless You!"
Work was relatively quiet, although I got a problem claim transferred to me that could potentially turn ugly. (The claim was settled by another adjuster who retired back in March and this man is NOW demanding an additional $100,000.00! Yup! Right amount of zeroes! You are reading it correctly! There is a problem with the new phone system and I am apparently not on it, which is why I think I am not getting all of my calls transferred to me. Oh well.
Other bad news: I went crazy last night and ate a bunch of cookies and cream ice cream before bed! i was starving all day today. I did 30 minutes of Wii Walk It Out yesterday and today. We did play "monkey in the middle" with the football and Remmy. I also went to CRE tonight at church. Father Bob gave a wonderful tour of the church and explained a lot of things.
Today, I ate: coffee, oatmeal, veggie burger, green beans, herbal tea, soy milk, Activia yogurt, Tilapia (grilled), white rice (yes, did put a little butter on it), steamed broccoli/carrots/cauliflower. Propel Water. Gotta find myself a healthy snack.
Best part of my day: Watching Kona all curled up in my office sleeping on her big round pillow bed in front of the window. Watching her chest rise and fall with her breathing. It was better and more comforting than watching fish! Also, Remmy got hold of the bag of cotton balls I was using to clean out his ears. I went out into the family room and it looked like there had been a pillow fight! I should have taken a picture.
The other good news: I started out 168 lbs, BMI was 31.68. Yesterday 167 lbs, BMI 31.48. Today: 166 lbs, BMI 31.30. Woo Hoo! The first week I am typically good for 4-5 lbs then slow down. I currently only have 2 pairs of pants that fit, so really need to get down 10 more to be able to start wearing my other pants.
Oh, one other thing to think about: I am currently carrying around a 50 lb bag of dog food right now on my body! I saw a picture of a woman who had lost 50 lbs and then took a picture of herself holding that bag of dog food. This was on Sparkpeople. This was a really scary but good visual for me! I have to lose a bag of dog food! That's going to be on tomorrow's sticky note!

You will lose the needed weight. Something that may help with snacking is to have an \'emergency\' bowl of healthy snacks in the fridge for when it is late and the will power is shut down - this can be a combination of veggies and other \'safe\' foods to stuff in your face - LOL - to keep from stuffing in the \'wrong\' \'stuff\'.
Well, I know we used behavior modification with a points system when we had foster kids several years ago and it worked very well. Outside of that I don\'t know much as we stuck with what worked.
Gentle ((hugs))

Tattoos - I can accept small tattoos but will never understand the whole arm or back/chest. Just not my thing I guess. Have you thought about making a deal of sorts - 1 year of acceptable behavior and a small tattoo with your appoval of where and size or whatever item he wants at the moment. With his track record on losing his temper he will never make the one year.
Wonderful on the continued weight loss! Where do you think you will be at the end of the year - about 6 weeks left? 10 pounds? That would bring you close to a dress size smaller!
