Day 28 Without Coke -

So far I'm happy with my progress.  I've officially gone 4 weeks without Coke.  I guess I would like to go a full 31 days to make it an official month, but I'm pretty close, so I'm satisfied.  My concern though, is that I might be consuming even more calories than I was when I was having 1-3 Cokes a day.
It's hard for me to really eliminate sweets from my diet, so I've tried to consume more fruits and vegetables, and for the last 6 days I've managed to get 5 or more.  Yesterday I even had 8!  The problem is that the majority - and sometimes all - the servings I eat have been from fruits rather than vegetables, and fruits are high in calories.  I've been blending 5 servings of fruit into a smoothie everyday, and I've been really enjoying it - I'm just hoping the calories aren't undoing the improvements I've made by eliminating Coke.
But enough of all that ...
I've been extremely weak today and yesterday.  I've been exercising for my Fibro pretty regularly, about 3-4 times a week, but I was hoping to increase my aerobics to 5 days a week or more.  Yesterday though, I could hardly hold myself up and my legs were hurting terribly.  My mom suggested that I had been over-doing it and that my body is telling me it needs to rest.  I know she's probably right, but I can't stand these periods of weakness!  I know there are chores that have to be done around here ... dishes that haven't been washed for more than a day, and laundry that I can never catch up on.  I do really want to use my energy and strength to help my family with these tasks, but I also want to clean my own room, which I can never really mold into the tranquil, earthy library-office of my dreams.  And then there are my own personal goals, my hobbies ... I can never seem to pursue them:
1) I want to work on my comic books regularly, actually complete them, and submit them to publishers so that I can earn some money for my family, my care, and my future.
2) I want to work on my zine, which I've wanted to create for years now, but I'm starting to think I'm not up to creating a decent issue, let alone 8.
3) I want to work on my blog which currently has no consistent theme, mood, or interested readers.
4) I want to start creating some fan art, my subjects being Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, The Millennium Trilogy, Twin Peaks, and Harry Potter to name a few.
5) I'd like to try making some 3 dimensional pictures using scrapbooking paper and my own drawings.
6) I want to finally start making stuffed animals like the ones I see on Pinterest and in STUFFED magazine.
7) I want to start designing and altering my own clothes, purses, and hair accessories.

Hopefully my energy will return, my self-care will improve and pay off, and little by little I can pursue each of my hobbies.  Maybe in addition I can even get out of this house and meet some people my own age - decent people who won't treat me like ignorant scum for having health problems.  Until then, I'll just have to take it all one day at a time.

If you get a vitamin that has 5-HTP, it will quell the body aches and joint pains. Please don\'t give up hope. You can return to feeling normal. Your body is deficient in vitamins, and enzymes. I took a Sea Kelp supplement that consists of Iodine so Iodine tends to add energy to our bodies. I had worked up to 5 tablets; I bought it from The Vitamin World, this specific brand really works. Join an Iodine group to learn more about this, also. Vitamins and nutrients can restore your health and return your energy levels to normal. Manganese will restore your stamina and take away the weakness. Again, research what all of the vitamins do; start by looking up all of the vitamins in a multi-vitamin.
