Day 2 on the wagon.

Day 2 on the wagon. I feel optimistic I reall want to stay sober. This time I have a plan. This blog will help me stay on track and will also help others stay on track.
Now let me tell a little bit about myself. I'm from Puerto Rico and moved to Florida 3 years ago
came here looking to turn araound my life financially. I've been struggling with alcohol fo over 10 years but it has really got out of control in the past 3 years. I live by myself, all my family including my daughter is in Puerto Rico.
Since I came to Florida my drinking has escalated quite a bit Ilaso started smoking on a daliy basis. I usually drink 2 four paks of cheap high alcohol beer. I have pretty muched managed to stay "functional" but in the past month I have found myself buying beer in the morning and just staying home drinking and feeling sorry for myself, this has affected my job, I'm barely making my rent, my car payments and child support. My daughter (14yr old) doesn't speak to and that is what hurts the most. I need to fix this have tried quitting in the past and failed after 7 days or so.
I found this blog and believe it may help me, at least I'm trying something diffrent. Need all the support I can get Thank you

Hi Rene, sounds like it\'s time for you to start looking after yourself and start taking steps towards a better path. I nearly lost so much through my drinking including my daughter, and she almost lost a Mother, many times. In sobriety I\'ve found renewed relationships and although It took time and much work, a renewed zest for life itself. It\'s not going to be easy Rene, but know that you\'re not alone and there is support out there. All those small steps towards change add up.
