Day 2 of a Lenten Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being such a loving God. One that cares for each and everyone of us. You care if we are hurting, sad, angry, lonely, sinning and completely out of sorts. You rejoice when we are happy and in harmony with you and your goodness for us.
Lord, I ask that you be with each of us here at DS and in the world that are suffering from all addictions, but specifically today I ask for those of that are suffering from the gambling addiction, those that are still in action, those that are on the fence, those that are trying to recover and get better, and those that have been affected by gambling addiction. Lord, help us to find whatever we need to break the chains of addiction and live the life you would want us to. Help us Lord to feel your strength and rely on you to get us through those times when we just don't know what we are supposed to be doing. Help us to find a better way of life in your love.
Lord, please help to heal our souls, clear our minds, and learn new coping skills for the daily task of living. Help us to have hearts of gratitude instead of contempt, sadness, and grief. So many of us are broken Lord from past hurts, deaths, abuse, mistrust, abandoned and treated harshly from those that should cherish us. We are lost. Please help us to heal those wounds so that we can find the person you want us to be.
Dear Father God - you are the most high! Help us to "Be Still and Know that you are God" and that you are there to help us, to guide us and bring us through this.
In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!
