Day 12 morning
12 is a nice number. I will do my best today to complete it.
I woke tired again this morning. I feel my body must be making some kind of adjustment. I will treat my body kindly. When my alarm went off, I got up and fed the animals and then went back to bed with a tea. I opened the bedroom curtains, drank tea and read some. When I finally did get up, I felt more rested. I hope to exercise some tonight, so I will make adjustments throughout the day to keep my energy level in a good place for that. It's very light exercise. Another option since the weather has broken is to go to the forest after work. Come home, change and grab the dogs. There are some very easy trails that I could take. Go slow and easy. A possibility. Clean the back cab this morning. It'll make it easier if you choose to go to the forest after work.
I walked the yard last night. There's lots of potential...lots that I can do and keep busy with on those days when sobriety may be tougher than usual. The landscapers will be back to trim out the plants that died during the heavy snow this past year and trim some of the trees. This weekend I'd like to get some herbs or flowers...something. I could expand the garden for pumpkins, squash or cukes. All my tomatoes are doing well. I can't wait for the Brandywines. A long wait yet. This will be just the right pace for me at the moment. All the work they did on the yard has lifted a stress from me. I am grateful for that. I could get some bark dust and lay it. Am I up for that?
Since I dallied in bed, I need to wrap this up and get out the door. I do not drink. This is day 12. Twelve is nice number. I am committed to making a life change. That life change does not involve drinking, and it does not involve passivity. It does involve healthfulness. It does involve pro-activeness. It involves being involved/engaged in my own life. This is my goal. I will achieve it. I am the tree, not the leaves. I do not drink.
