Day 10 GF and accepting the debt!
Double figures today "10 days gamble free" ! Today I went through the painful task of adding up my debt due to my gambling and formed a budget to pay it off. Man, its so painful to see the numbers right in front of your eyes and you just think, how did i manage to be so stupid, are these numbers real or am I just dreaming? The question in my mind is how do you accept the financial lose and debt? I know it will get easier over time but it is dam hard to accept it and see your good hard earnt money go to debt. I guess the plan is to just chip away until it is gone!

Hi Bear... I know what you mean about the debt. I have always prided myself on having perfect credit, paying my bills on time and being able to manage my debt. But my gambling put my debt over the top and took away my pride. But that can be a good thing... They say pride is Satan\'s Sin. So I have humbled myself somewhat. Got a budget and try to stick with it. Yes, it can be so overwhelming looking at those numbers, but you gotta think --- Hey, if I continue down this path those numbers will get to a point that I will never be able to repay. Congrats on double digits... keep on working it and they will continue to climb! Here for you if you need me... Shelia
Eastwester you rock. That is what I did with debt last yr. I set a goal, wrote it on paper and chipped away each month. I had it payed in June but I went and gambled again and started the debt again, but now I have it paid off and learned my lesson. While paying it I had a few nice meals out and bought a few books and didn\'t punish myself. Way to go Bear.
