day 1 post op

My surgery was my more invoved than expected. I was in the OR for 6 hrs instead of the expected 2. The cancer had attached itself to my vocal cords and esophagus. Ended having to remove a nerve to my vocal cord, Guess my singing days are over but I am alive and that is what matters. This is what I like most about Duke they have it all, they got the specialists into the OR on amoments notice. They are like family. I am blessed
