Day 1 of Lenten Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your one and only Son was sacrificed so that we may live a fuller life. We thank you Lord God for His horrific death so that we may live. Help each and everyone of us, whether we believe in you or not, to feel that wonderous gift and accept your undeniable love for us. As we try to live each day, I ask that you help all of us that are struggling with our gambling addiction and all addictions, Lord. Please be with those that have chosen to try and recover from this insidious disease and those that have not reached the point of being sick and tired.
Lord I ask you, no I implore you Lord! For those of us that are still struggling to accept that we have a compulsive addiction/disease, may you allow whatever needs to happen to us to bring us to the point of seeking out recovery. Help us to know, without any doubt, in our hearts that we need help, that we need to do things differently. With that Lord, I ask that you provide us with the person/people and resources to help us to begin and keep on that road of recovery. We need each other to get better. "Where two or more are gathered in your name, Lord".
Thank you, Jesus for your ultimate sacrifice so we may live!! Help us to not continue to waste our life that you so preciously gave us!!!
