Not sure what to write here.  I am in love but I have no idea how he feels about me.  I try to pull it out of him but he is smart and never gives me a direct ans.  Either he feels nothing for me or he is afraid of his feelings for me.  I think he has put a wall around his heart and won't let anyone in due to how his ex treated him.  She kicked him out saying she was not happy any more.  He talked about it one night.  I didn't ask he just started talking about it.  The one time he opens up to me and it's about her.  Maybe he still loves her, maybe it's to soon for him to have another relationship.  I don't know!!!!   I'm so confused.  His attudute lately is running hot and cold with me.  He's friendly and picks on me as always but yet I feel something else too.  Right now we can't make love cus I have a cold sore and I understand that cus I wouldn't want to kiss someone with one of those.  He's a great kisser and I miss it so much.  I try not to think about him but it's all I do.  It drives me crazy!!!!  I prayed for a decent man to come into my life.  I don't know why God sent me this man if he won't love me.  My sister says to give it time.  He may come around in time.  We are both in our 60s and his health is not good.  When he didn't leave today for work I called him to make sure he was ok.  Yes, he was still alive and laughed.  I am hoping when he sees I care he will mellow out some.  Men are so hard to understand!  I wasn't even going to bother him for a few days and see what happens but I was worried about him this morning.  That's how I am, I worry more about others than myself at times.

Hi, I came across your journal. I would suggest taking things slow with this guy. It does not seem like you have known him that long? To say you are - in love - is way too soon. It takes time to get to know a person. I would say about one year of consistent dating to really know a person. There is no rush... if it's meant to be, it will be there.

See him, but make sure and have plenty of other interests, too. Do you have friends to go out with? Family to spend time with? A job, take classes online, join a hobby group, take walks..... Keep yourself busy and not so focused on this one guy. (Guys like to do the chasing.... and especially older guys).

Take care of your life, first. Take things slow with him. Take your time to get to know him. Try your best to keep emotions out of this until you two have spent lots and lots of consistent time together. Stay busy with your own life and your friends and family. This will help you to see this dating more objectively. I do not want to see you get your heart broken, so just take things sloooooow.

P.S. There are some good relationship boards on this site.... People on there have good advice. Hugs and good luck to you!
