Daily Migraines

Funny, I joined this forum to read about migraines. I saw a comment posted about medical marijuana helping migraines, but once I got registered, there was no forum for migraines. So instead I tried to join the fibromyalgia group, but my tablet got locked up and my "howdy do" post was completely lost. So...I will try to do a journal to see if that locks me up too.

I was diagnosed in 1985 with myafacia pain syndrome. Then in 1992, I was told I had fibromyalgia. Of course, that's just a tip of the iceberg. I have multiple bone on bone vertebrates in my neck and spine, an unstable SI joint, arthritis, neuropathy, tarsal tunnel syndrome, IBS, chronic migraines, pelvic adhesive disease to name a few. Was forced into retirement 3 years ago because I am hypersensitive to these new perfumes that bring on instant migraines that feel like I am being stabbed in the eyes by a red hot poker. I can't even continue living in my beautiful home because the neighbors' dryer sheets get me when I walk out the door. Seriously, we are looking for a place in the country with lots of acreage because I can smell dryer sheets from 160 ft away. Even walking my dog in the park is dangerous because I can smell people's clothes detergents from 30 ft away, and one sniff is all it takes for a week long migraine. So I live an isolated life.

What I have found that helps with FMS is magnesium, tia chi, oral CBD oil 3 times a day (I found a fabulous CBD oil cream at Highland Pharms that helps with my neuropathy pain and restless legs syndrome), soaking in epsom salt, not eating wheat (bad stuff in go wheat, watch Netfix's show about wheat!), and keeping busy. Seriously, if I can immerse myself into a project, I hardly notice my pain. Light exercise is important too.

After decades of living in pain, I have learned to block out most of it....until I lay down to sleep. So I am trying to learn to meditate. I'll keep you posted on that.
