Dad\'s Surgery Went Well -- I am on Article 103

Howdy! First the Important news! Dad had his surgery this morning and they didn't remove his gall bladder. I am not 100% sure what that means, but I think that means that they did not believe that it was necessary to remove it. When I called the hospital I talked with his nurse and she said Mom was sitting with Dad in his room and he was okay and only feeling a little discomfort and soreness at the small incision site in his side. ...though Mom just called and she things they did remove the gall bladder... Regardless, Dad is doing okay.  Now an update, I have been doing a bit of writing and keeping up with stuff. I have reached the 30% progress level now... 28.2% actually with the article #103 I just finished. Now that is 28.2% of the articles in 26.6% of the days I have to write them in. I am also colaborating now with my friend Mags on another column reviewing interesting pieces of artwork on the Internet. Mostly things of the theme of Science Fiction art, Fantasy art, Space art, and Surreal art. Perhaps even with the large mouthful I have bitten off with this goal, it is not too much to add considering it is a colaboration and that we are not working on a daily deadline. I am also perhaps over a block in the writing of my novel... in part to inspiration inparted to me by some of the artwork my friend has found. She is finding the artwork and I am helping by helping put her words to text and adding my own reviews as well. Still problems with pain in my back and other kidney associated areas and still Really fighting depression and anxiety.  Oh, the Art review blog is "Blended Realms"  Article number 103 of the "Gnomestead Stump" is: "The Highest Form Of Flattery It Is Not" Later!

i am glad your dad is doing ok. hopefully you can find out from the doctors what they did do for your dad to help him so it doesnt flair up again.
i am glad you are writing again. i do enjoy reading your stories. do take good care of yourself though. make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help keep your kidneys flushed. depression and anxiety are also 2 things i can relate to since they have been knocking at my door a lot lately. we just need to fight them as hard as we can. love sylvia

Hey! I found out they actually did remove Dad\'s Gallbladder. Stupid hospital doctors all want to stick their nose in the room even if they don\'t completely read the charts! -grumble- It sure doesn\'t help instill confidence in Dad. I wrote in a journal entry following that Dad had a moderate heart attack the day after and I went to the hospital so worried ;( He is moderatly okay right now and finally out of the acute cardiac unit. Perhaps he will be able to go home soon.

I spent the past week at Mom & Dad\'s supporting them and I do not have my normal Internet connection while I am there which does not help with me staying in touch.

Thank you for all the support!

There are so very many interesting images done by so many artists on the Web. My friend Mags loves finding the interesting ones so I suggested the Column. I hate to call it a blog really.

I still am plagued with the kidney stones. I need to get some more tests done... I hope monday morning.
