Cutters & Dosers
So, my phychiatry appt was typical yesterday. I was called back by the Nurse practioner who preceded to ask me about my symptoms. I came out being labeled as Major Depressive, OCD with Bipolar symptoms. Makes sense. Ive been impulsive, wishy washy and indecisive. She wrote me a script fot a new drug on the market (which is $300 for quantity of 30) and sent me on my merry way. I have no idea if my insurance will even cover this. I was given a week starter pack. The ony side effect Ive had so far is dry mouth and upset stomach. I have a short day at work today and plan on doing some instacarting. The IRS hit me with a 100.00 bill for taxes that were never paid by my ex and his sketchy accountant. Rather than go back and forth with them, Ill just pay it. It could be worse, but I wasn't expecting it and it makes me wonder what else he left behind. It has worked like clockwork that I would start working to make extra money and then I'd get bills that I was not expecting. Oh well, Ill work harder and money was made to be spent.
Last night I went out to dinner by myself. I actually really enjoy doing those things by myself. Eating with anyone has always stressed me out and I have my ex to thank for this as he was always telling me to push away from the table even though he knew I had anorexia. But, I am glad that Ive worked past my self image issues and am finally accepting my flaws.
Tommorow will be interesting. I have not talked to Roomie about Thanksgiving. I don't know what he plans on doing but, I may be having dinner with my friend or not. I really just don't want to do anything. I don't want to deal with anyone.
I hope you all have a very Happy thanksgiving. Hang in there.

I once had a discussion with one of my nurse practitioners about the nature of psych labels. She didn't believe the psyche or the study of the psyche are static and that the labels *should* change with the progress and/or escalation of the patient and the opinions of the practitioners.
Good luck deciding your holiday plans or lack thereof. In my best years, I can treat holidays like just another day on the calendar.
