CUT YOUR FEET OFF
So many doctors are being so insensitive. Went to my NEURO SURGEON as my MRI did show some things...he didn't even read it. Here was his answer which I did not find funny at all...HE SITS DOWN AND SAYS...WELL, YOU CAN CUT BOTH FEET OFF AND WEAR BLADES LIKE THE GUY THAT KILLED HIS GIRLFRIEND...MADE ME MAD..
IF HE WANTS TO BE A DOCTOR, BE ONE, IF HE WANTS TO BE A COMEDIEN GO TRY OUT. BUT YOU BETTER HAVE BETTER MATERIAL THAN THAT..
OH WELL, That seems to be the world..we all know the insensitive people, we have experienced that with people amd what they say after we lose our children....I think people need to be trained how to talk to people.

So true. Yesterday I had a melt down at my neurologist because I don\'t think he has been listening at all to what I\'ve been telling him about my symptoms. The MRI\'s he took supposedly shows I have 4 budging discs and bad arthritis in/on my spine. I was dumbfounded, I don\'t even have back aches, my problem is exhaustion -- I mean really bad exhaustion -- and pain in my right thigh and here he\'s telling me that I have a spine disc problem. I couldn\'t believe it, I even asked if he\'s sure he was looking at my MRI. He said your problem is right here \"as he touched the bottom of my spine. He says doesn\'t it hurt you hear. I said \"no\". On that note he said well take some anti-inflammatories and come back in 4 months. WTF...he left the room and the nurse came back with my chart and an appointment date in November. No way in hell I\'m going back to see this doctor. I have an appointment on Monday to see my PCP to ask what I should do.
Doctors like these two need to be given the boot for sure. Wishing you both some relief. Hugs, Kathy

I work with a lot of doctors and sometimes I wish I could tell people the good ones and the not so good ones. Sadly they can be insensitive sometimes but that doesn\'t always mean they aren\'t knowledgeable. I\'d much rather have insensitive and someone very on the ball with his medical knowledge than someone warm and fuzzy who is just appeasing their patients and not sure what\'s wrong with them. Sorry you had a bad experience. It\'s always best to get a second and sometimes third opinion.
What a jackass!! I can\'t imagine any doctor I have ever worked with speak like that to a patient. Bye the bye; his joke was not funny. He wouldn\'t last at Yuk Yuks.e

OUCH!!!! That was not one bit funny and I\'m so sorry that you were on the receiving end of that.
I remember someone sharing in an Al-Anon meeting the acronym for THINK: \"is it thoughtful, honest, important, necessary and kind?\" This was most certainly not any of those. Ugh!!!!
Please take care and keep seeking opinions as you are and hopeful that you will have answers to your questions and will be able to find relief from this ongoing and chronic pain.

Sandi, I do not think the doctor\'s comment was funny at all! I feel he was disrespectful to you and also referencing Oscar Pistorius and the killing of his poor girlfriend is no joke either. Domestic violence is not something to joke about! What a jerk! Sorry you had to experience this!

When you see your PCP, ask him/her to refer you to a university neuro specialist. I found they are better at listening and dealing with unusual problems. I hope your PCP understands.
