CT Results
There is good news and bad news from the CT scan. The good news is, although there are blockages in both my legs, they're small enough that they won't be a problem.(support hose forever or find another cause for the swelling.) The bad news is that both of my carotid arteries are clogged,,,,one 80%,,,the other 78% and need to be fixed. The doc recommends cutting them open instead to using a stint to lower the chance for a stroke. This would mean a stay in the hospital in Dallas. My local doc had told me the same thing. Vickie wanted me to see the doc in Dallas because she was told he did the procedures in his office. He also wants a heart stress test to make sure my heart could take the procedure. And he wants a Dallas cardiologist to do it. That would mean more trips to Dallas with Vickie juggling her schedule to accommodate. We talked him into having the stress test in the town where I live. I'm going to check the local docs about the procedure and try to have it done here. That way, Vickie wouldn't have to be with me(Although, I know she will. Sister love does a lot of things.)
