Cryday
Dearest,
I broke the sugar bowl this morning, yes again. The top flipped and broke the bottom, wierd! Then I realized that I don't know where to buy another sugar bowl. I think that I used to know! What happened to me? How can one forget something so basic?
I grabbed lunch at the Deli today, some woman there was so flirting with me. I got spooked! Not for any of those old reasons, in fact I can't really figure out why. Walking to my car with my sammich I was asking myself, Self, what the hell is wrong with you?" You! that's what's wrong with me.
Oldies night! They were playing Buddy Holly songs and I was remembering how we'd sing along. Thought I was headed for Sad Town so I put on the Neil Diamond tape, Well . . . that made it worse!
Tamsin called, she's such a good kid. I'll probably talk to her later, she's working a show, Wicked. Gets in around 1:00, left her a return. Basically spent most of today wondering what the hell happened to me. it's like surveying the wreckage after a storm. I just find bits and pieces, try to remember what went with what. I think perhaps I've become too mature, maybe I need to get a little juvenile again. You know, I know just the person.
Talk to you soon, When I'm more immature, Your Ken

Dont ya just hate when that happens..Breaking stuff! I cant get myself to go anywhere else but the grocery store so that is where I by everything. Maybe the dollar store next door- in which I hate that cheepo stuff!
You know I become highly offended now when people hit on me. I never used to! Now I just feel like they are offending my Bobby..Like they should know he has passed..Right hu?
Hope you have a better day ~Christi
Ken,
I don\'t know where to buy a sugar bowl either. Seriously, I have been sitting here for 5 minutes trying to figure that out. hmpf. Maybe Amazon.com - they have everything else in the world.
I can\'t listen to music - oldies, newies, you name it. Can\'t do it. Not gonna try.
Linda
Christi, Hey how did you know that there was a dollar store next to my grocery store? Have you been stalking me? Just teasing, great intuitive observation.
Linda, Yeah we used to buy fancy ones online from Dansk ,but I have a history of breaking sugar bowls, Abby broke coffee pots, and the shipping charges are outrageous. I know that Abby bought this one locally, I just don\'t know where.
Ken
Ken, sorry about the sugar bowl. Christi is right for odds and ends the Dollar store is a great place to find stuff. So is the Good Will or the Salvation army. Yard sales work, but not this time of year. Just watched the Buddy Holly story on tv not that long ago, and the Jazz Singer a monthe before that, love all their music, part of my youth. Its odd when someone other than our spouse flirts, makes us feel uncomfortable. Time will come they say when it dosn\'t effect us that way anymore. I wonder....Have a good weekend, and don\'t break anything else.....Hugs Jane
Don\'t sweat the small stuff right now.......just plunk the sugar in an old margarine container. When you are really in the mood.......you will find another one.
Same deal here with the music.......can\'t bear to maybe hear something that will rip my heart out........stick to the news at home and in the car........still makes me cry but for a different reason.
I guess that\'s why I have this old plastic (tupperware?) sugar container. I would have broken any other for sure. Who knows how long I have had that thing. Can\'t remember where it came from or ever having sugar in anything different. Strange.
I think being a little juvenile once in a while is good for the soul. Never want to forget that young spirit buried in us old folks.
Best wishes
Angie
Ken,
Hang in there! I can\'t listen to music either. Brings up way too many memories of the fun times together. No way!!
I bet you could get a sugar bowl at Target or someplace like that.
