Cruisin' into Comfort
I am three weeks out (6-11-12), have now experienced dumping syndrome and threw up for the first time today. I have a curious mind and I like to find things out for myself...At least now I know what those two things are like and know I want to avoid them in the future!
It is as much a mind game for me as anything else, figuring out how to work all the meds, the fluids, the protein into a manageable program without going into my typical middle-child rebellion. But I am deteremined to do well at this, it's just a stretch going from knowing what the rules are going to be, to actually having to live by them. I just keep trying to evaluate what the boundaries are and how I can do what I need to do and get comfortable with it. But the bottom line is always, what do I really WANT? That reminds me that I did this for a reason, nobody made me do it, and what I make of it has to be up to me.
That being said, I hope to find my groove, get comfy with it, and then I can focus on the other things that really make my life worthwhile: my faith, my friends and family, and spreading love, peace, and joy all over the place. Oh yeah, baby LOL
