Crappy Day #4
Today was another crappy day. I don't know what it is, but my body is just exhausted and in pain. I feel like every muscle in my body is sore and I just ran a marathon. I'm weak. I went grocery shopping today and I had to take a nap afterward since I was so tired. I did manage to make dinner (homemade hamburgers) and watch some TV, but then a migraine hit and I had to go lie down in the dark. I'm feeling a bit better now, but my body still hurts. it's just sore... I know it's the depression sucking my energy and causing the pain. Tomorrow I'm going to try my best to go volunteer since I know that in the past it's helped me. I'm going to take a Vicodin before I leave because I know I'm going to be in pain. If I can walk to the clinic I will consider that a victory. My job there is to sit and talk to people, so once I get there the hard part will be over. My moods were more stable today. I'm also going to ask about my hours. The Urgent Care clinic is open from 2-10, so I want to see about coming in later. I like working afternoons, not mornings. Maybe something like 3-6 pm. I think my body would deal with that a lot better. I will have to talk to my boss tomorrow. I have to go to the clinic anyway tomorrow to get my Haldol. I called it in today, so they should have it tomorrow. I'm down to my last 2 pills, so I need to go tomorrow anyway.
As for the food and Geo thing, it's a constant battle. I've told him time and time again to just ask me before he eats my food. The problem is, he gets hungry in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping. I tell him to wait, then, and ask me the next day so he can have it the next night. But he can't wait. He needs instant gratification. Although one of my friends had a good solution- Hide stuff in the crisper drawer beneath the veggies. I have tried buying things he doesn't like and he eats them, too. He *hates* wheat, but when I bought Wheat Thins he at them all. He refused to eat a sandwich at his dad's house because it was made on wheat bread, and then I get mini wheat bagels and he eats those, too. Last night I made fudge with aspertame in it, and if there's anything he hates more than anything, it's aspertame. He ate half the fudge! I couldn't believe it. I just don't know what he won't eat anymore. He is a true food addict. We have a ton of eggs, he can make whatever he wants with eggs, but no, he eats my roast beef, my fudge, all that stuff. *sigh* I should stop this before I get pissed again.

I hope going to work at the clinic tomorrow helps.. i know you been feeling yuckie for awhile now that has to be hard. Talking to your boss about doing more later afternoon hours is a great idea ... then you could have more time to be awake awhile and then go in for few hours... or to get sleep in the morning after a difficult night. Stay strong kiddo better days ahead ... you are doing great!
