CPS Drama, (cont.)

During the years surrounding our first separation, Hubs was in a band called, "Fecal Count." I shit you not. . . The band members consoled him frequently, often over the microphone, that his misbehaving dependents should be more appreciative because he was, "Better Than Most." Somewhere in those hard and savage years, the tit-for-tat volley for that one between Hubs and I became, "And less destructive than some." That particular volley became cliche enough between us that I can now make my entire "no, thank you" point with the Fecal Count compliment of, "Yea. . . Better than most. . ." No such thing as a clean fight in Arf World. I already feel dirty before the fight begins. It is not safe to stand between me and my antisceptic shower.

Last night's final update came late in the evening. Hubs and Daddy had gone to the other grandparent house to pick up the GKs for a picinic dinner at the park. After they dropped Daddy off at his apartment complex, Hubs spent the rest of the evening in the other grandparent living room, catching up on GS's kindergarten schoolwork, etc., while GD created jokes about Gampy sitting in Grampa's chair. "Babe," I told him several times over the update, "You are wa-a-a-ay better than most. You're a super star."

My strictly personal psycho nag flags are snapping pretty hard this morning. My gut is knotted painfully. Doubts and full-sensory flashbacks are spiralling in the prairie winds pushing the clouds northward. Plying therapy exercises. Just breathe. . .

Funny band name. Actually I joked with a former co-worker at one of my old jobs...that a good name for a death metal band would be "Blood and feces" Haha GMTA.

The band name was actually tied to a hot political scandal of the day. The literal Parks and Rec fecal count of a local environmental jewel was being published in the paper and announced on RTF daily for long enough to make it a household cliche. It was irresistible fertilizer for comedy routines and clever repartees.

I'm sure Parks and Rec is still performing the daily fecal count but you are only confusing the next generation if you use the cliche's.

They were a folk music band. Always folking around. . .

I’m often the peacemaker in the fights that break out around me but when I do participate I become ruthless, so I can empathize with feeling “dirty” before it even starts. Maybe it is because I always try to sue for peace that if it fails & I’m drafted to fight, we’re so far past truces & parleys that I out for complete destruction of the other side, right down to burning what left of my opponent to ashes and salting the earth for good measure.

Hugs & support!

The delusion of peacemaking is one of my heavily theraputed psychoses(pl). Through my 20-20 hindsight, I am not at all sure I ever contributed to peace by joining the chaos, despite the opinions of the 7 siblings who are still mad at me for not continuing my peacemaking efforts. Changing the subject with biting sarcasm is not a very peaceful solution. Where's my antiseptic shower?

It was/is a witty name. The band got to play every one of the political rallies behind the scandal. It's hard to tell with politics, but I think the good guys even won that round. That environmental jewel is still a treasure, despite the Boom Progress which surrounds it. So far. The region is still booming with no sign of slowing down. "Progress" is as good a name for ^it^ as any.
