Cousin Love... hilariously fun

I met w/ the first cousins today. There were 8 of us. We had so much fun. We stayed at the restaurant for 3 hours and planned a cousins' reunion in the mountains for next summer. 

NONE of us called our moms. We did not want them there... LOL... bc we can talk about them. Hilarious. We KNOW they talk about us. Our mothers actually are 5 sisters. They still get together at least 5x a year and stay the night with each other. They call it their housecoat parties... and they stay up until 3 a.m. playing Scrabble. But WE wanted OUR own thang... It was really funny how we all felt that way. 

We are all bat shit crazy.... well... most of us. Several of them are pretty stable. We are all in our late forties to early mid sixites... there is a twenty year span... but it's like we STILL know each other. We still relate to each other like sisters in such an odd way.. like time does not exist when we get together and we can all just go back in time. And we all "GET IT' about how the 5 sisters are. We talked and laughed so much about that today ... bc one of the sisters is 83 and she is the most physicall and mentally fit of them all... then one of them is okay and the last 3 / which includes my mom/ are all WHACK as hell... that's where we get the bat shit crazy. 

We all have and have had very strong men in our families. Strong stable uncles and husbands and daddies... then there's our MOTHERS... LOL... Nahh... I'm just kidding... but we all had fun talking and laughing and it's like no time has passed. WE have loved each other thru everything... divorces, crazy kid stuff, marriages, death of husbands, more kid stuff... Several of us don't have grand babies yet.. and we are all jealous. 

But SO MUCH FUN... I have wanted to do this for so long. The rule today was NO MEN or children... but the mountain reunion they will be invited. Some of the husbands pouted... LOL... they wanted to come. 

One cousin said "I put in a lasagna before I left for hubby...."

One said "I told hubby I would bring him some Mexican food..."

I said "I told hubby to be sure and take out the trash before I got back home..." my poor hubbie. LOL

Me and Handsome ( hubby.. i have to admit... my husband is so handsome and such a metro man that even men hit on him... it's true) we went to the trails and walked 2 miles tonight. It was wonderful. I really really enjoyed it. He's such a good man to put up with me.

I'm so blessed.... very very blessed. Bat shit crazy. But blessed.
