Countdown to 5/22/09 - First Pegasys in 12 days

It's funny how knowing that you're going to be under the weather for a year really makes everything you do prior to the first shot so much more enjoyable.  I was told in March that I was 1-2-3 [Type 1; Class? 2; Stage 3] and that I could not really put off treatment any more -- I've known for decades that I had Hep C.  And I still put off the start date until after I gave a long awaited presentation for work.  Now, it's just 12 days away... gulp. Spent my last 'well' wknd home this wknd - will still be away at that conference next wknd.  Planted my brand new 4' X 8' raised bed veggie garden.  I've always grown flowers only in my urban, postage stamp-sized backyard, but I thought that it would be great to be able to just gather a salad dinner in the backyard if  I was too sick or didn't feel like facing people [and a wonderful organization here [TheFoodProject.org] put it in for almost no cost].  Here's hoping mother Gaia smiles on the garden. Also bought a new tv for what I imagine will be at least a few wknds on the couch this year.  Nothing outrageous and no cable - I'm way too addictive to have cable tv!
