My guit-chi cracked open a bit yesterday. It has been in lock-down since I left Horseshoe Lake. I believe that was 3 weeks ago. Information available. I can look it up right here in my journal. That detail doesn't seem too important for this ramble. The important detail is that I was able to play and sing at all. My few guit-chi efforts here in Paducah have been downright painful. No big surprise. My daily inventory had already alerted me to the current psychotic episode. The availablity of therapy resources was the deciding factor in the move to Paducah from the long list of river options here in this river rich region. I believe the opening of my guit-chi is a sign that I made a good choice. Rhythms, tones and cadences were all as ragged as a flat tire, but they weren't painful. I've worked with less. This morning finds me ready, willing and able to crack open the guitar case for another round.
My gut sure needs it. I am pretty convinced that the back of guitar sound box shifting against my belly while I play provides a sonic colonic massage that reaches parts proctology still can't reach.
Still stepping small and praying big. . .

They say the resonance of a cat's purr can help heal muscles and lower BP, Arfie, so why not guitar healing? Puma support.
A cat purring on my tummy felt like heaven to my beleaguered colon. I never did figure out how to keep them there, though. I revealed as a true "dog person" when I got testy for their inability to understand, "Stay!"
