Couch to 5k

Did week 4, day 1 of Couch to 5k today and ran for 16 out of 32 mins. That's my longest yet! Feeling so strong and proud of myself! But can't see myself running 3 miles straight.. guess that's why they have this program, to work up to it!

Way to go. You should be proud! You\'ll get to 3 miles straight. You\'re dedicated and will get there soon enough.

I just did week 5, day 1. I\'m not sure about running 3 miles straight either. Who are we kidding? We can do this. It might take longer than their 9 weeks but we can do it!

Thanks Patty! It is so hard! I keep having to battle my mind saying \'this is so hard, I should just stop now\' and to keep going. I worked through it tonight, but Tuesday I got such a bad cramp in my side that I didn\'t have much of a choice. The difference: Tuesday-outside, today-treadmill.. I could control my pace.. outside I think I go much faster than I do on the treadmill.. Gotta learn to pace myself.

Remember the old Aesop\'s fable of the tortise and the hare:\" Quick and easy set the pace but slow and steady won the race\"

YOU are right ~ Pace yourself... Maybe go online and look up sites re: running competively and see if THEY have any tips ...

You young women are DOING SO WELL ~ Early CONGRATULATIONS!!
