You will find two major global multilateral copyright conventions which operate in the worldwide system. One may be the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (Berne) and the Universal Copyright Convention. Commonwealth countries and many European participate in Berne, but around recently the US only belonged to the Universal Copyright Convention.
