Coping

12/2/15
Today I saw my therapist and also applied for health insurance via healthcare.gov.  My income in 2016 is going to be so low that I qualified for the Medicaid expansion in AR.  However, dhs will want proof that even in a 2 person household, 1 of them won't be bringing in income because he's incarcerated.  Well, while I don't yet have a letter from the social security administration that his benefits are suspended while incarcerated, and I'm not even sure they will send one, I am armed with all sorts of other evidence-screen shot of his mug on the sheriff's dept. website, sentencing order, the policy regarding SSDI and incarceration direct from the SSA website, and they can just check themselves, as their databases interface with SSA.  So, another bureaucratic b.s. to undergo.
Also, car is acting up.  Heater isn't working properly and the engine makes a weird sound when idle, but not park.  Going to have to take it in again-Friday.  Yes, I'm stressed about it, but, I just want to make sure that it's not something too serious.
Money will be more tight this month, but, at least things will look a little better next month-new term, hopefully some new students, and more steady income.  I cannot believe that the 6th is approaching, and then it'll just be 19 months.  My therapist is really encouraged that I've realized that this time is my opportunity to live day to day on my own terms and to have faith that things will work out-that it's good to have a sense of determination and in essence he said that it's ALWAYS better to go through challenges-well, the last two years seemed to have dragged on-all of the uncertainty.  Now, closure with 1 chapter has taken place, and it's now a new journey-to become the kind of woman that God intends for me to be.
My husband's birthday is in 2 days and I hope he got my card and letter.  I hope he enjoys the gift box that his dad and I sent.  He'll be on my mind a little bit more tomorrow and Friday and then it'll be the weekend and we can see him again.
Dear hubby, I pray that you know how much you are loved and cherished, and I pray every day that God's angels are watching over you and giving you strength and peace.  Good night my love......Amen.
