Coping
I absolutely detest the side effects of Gabapentin. I know this is supposed to be helping me but I feel yucky all the time. I can feel it slide over me and take over my faculties. Not a pleasant experience and I do this three times a day. It affects my vision, my balance and my mind feels cloudy. I am already forgetting words mid-sentence and my hand co-ordination is faulty. *sigh*I do know that my nerve pain is suppressed but the break-through bone pain is still there as a constant nagging. I took 2 Aleve last night for pain, not sure if it did anything at all. I state these facts, not to be pessimistic or complaining but to catalogue my symptoms and feelings. I have to report to my doctor in 6 weeks to see if there is any good results from the new protocol. So far, not seeing it. I was able to attend a new church on Sunday however. I am going with a neighbor who will drive me. They had new pews and like Goldilocks...they were "just right". LOL I look forward to going again, hoping to have good fellowship and meet new people, as well as worship and praise my Lord for His many mercies towards me. My insurance will cover my accident and medical bills incurred. I am blessed. I can afford my doctor and trust God to provide for my family at this time and in the future. I know my faith is what keeps me persevering in the hard times and on my bad days.
