mostly quiet day. i think my body has had it with the weight gain. lots of aches and pains. so better come up with something to fix this. swimming hopefully.
had the heat on yesterday night. every august it gets cold here at night, 70's but cold and wet. so put heat at 83 as always and felt soooo much better. really need to be where its warmer.
had dinner at k's. brought over b-day cake. this one is chocolate-raspberry and i had them put strawberries dipped in chocolate on the top with the fresh raspberries. it has white chocolate squares on the side. publix does a great job with cakes. super good.
brought over mai tai mixer as well, so we had mai tai's. yum. and he had cognac that he loves. for me a teaspoon of it would be plenty. its that expensive one coursevair, i'll fix this later.
went to jacuzzi and a movie and saw the illusionist (excellent by the way), dinner with the schmucks - very funny and a bit of ride-along which had too much action in it for me. very busy day as i had a meeting to go to in between all this.
dropped off k's b-day cards as well and picked up one for a.
went to garage sale house behind us, went inside and finally saw the inside. its an unusual set up but not as bad as i expected. not worth the price they want though. then went to the next block where another house is for sale for about the same money except he claims he is re-doing the house. he had a house-sitter there who worked for his mother doing home health, but the house-sitter didn't pay her utility bills and expected him to pay her. hmmmm, house-sitters usually ARE paid. i think he viewed it as an arrangement but it was 6 months behind on everything, cable, gas, water, electric...he is very young and says he doesn't want to be around here ever. too many bad memories. his mother died here and he went to warner christian here. he wants to get 40 acres of land from his grandfather west of here and raise his baby with his girlfriend there instead, plus going to college out there.

unfortunately, where I live, deer routinely get hit by cars.
