Convention and after
Well I made it to my convention this year. YEAH!!!!
After getting to go, I know now that doctor was right last year and I had no business going last summer. Even with the scooter, the long days and activities still wore me out. I had a good time visiting with old friends, making new friends, attending to business, etc. I am very glad I got to attend this year. We will see if I make it to the one next year or not.
I used a scooter to get around and back and forth all week. Thank god as I would never have made it if I would have had to have walked. I did learn the hard way that I should have walked a little more then I did. My poor legs hurt and ached from not walking last week and now this week are aching from all the walking I am doing once more! Oh well live and learn, even if it hurts some!
I enjoyed having some "me" time last week. Although I was one of like 1200 women at this convention, I still found time to enjoy a little peace and quiet. I shared a room with a lady that I had never met before and we got along great!
Now my only problem is getting back into the swing this week at home with the girls. It is rather hard to come home to all this neediness after enjoying a week of not having to deal with little kids or family members! LOL OH well... I will survive.
So having survived my PE's & DVT's a year ago the end of May, I got to go and celebrate this month in Omaha, Nebraska! So if you have just had a PE and are feeling low, don't give up. Life does get better and back to "normal" ....whatever that is! Now to save my pennies for next year's trip......LOL well I can dream, can't I?
