Continuing to Learn

Do we ever really reach a saturation point of knowledge, where we feel we've amassed TOO MUCH knowledge, but there's a certain pleasure in simplicity that has been lost?  The information has merely been skimmed, and not really allowed to sink in and be experienced?
I must pace myself and allow life to wash over me.  There's more pain but also more pleasure to tread.  I just want to continue to evolve into the beautiful, dynamic human being I'm capable of, and not regress, into old negativity and insecurities.  I feel like I'm TOO AWARE at times.  I don't want to go back to being that ignorant kid I was again; I like the age and level of sophistication I've acquired now.  But there is bliss, and pleasure, in ignorance, so a part of me wants to go back and not THINK, just ACT on impulse, even if those impulses are not the right or healthy ones.  Just need a new direction, I suppose, perhaps a deeper, simpler, more grass-roots, more tribal direction...not a grander direction, but a new one.  Time to become Amish?
Just getting it out there...

This is what \'s great about having a flexible mind - one minute you are a philosopher, the next a simpleton; one day you are a mentor, the next you are a mentor. Overwhelmed by knowledge and information we retreat to the naked, silent earth in search of simple answers to our complex questions, rather than looking to more technology and more books. We always go back to where we came from, whether it is physically or in our minds.
