Continuing to Learn

Do we ever really reach a saturation point of knowledge, where we feel we've amassed TOO MUCH knowledge, but there's a certain pleasure in simplicity that has been lost?  The information has merely been skimmed, and not really allowed to sink in and be experienced?
I must pace myself and allow life to wash over me.  There's more pain but also more pleasure to tread.  I just want to continue to evolve into the beautiful, dynamic human being I'm capable of, and not regress, into old negativity and insecurities.  I feel like I'm TOO AWARE at times.  I don't want to go back to being that ignorant kid I was again; I like the age and level of sophistication I've acquired now.  But there is bliss, and pleasure, in ignorance, so a part of me wants to go back and not THINK, just ACT on impulse, even if those impulses are not the right or healthy ones.  Just need a new direction, I suppose, perhaps a deeper, simpler, more grass-roots, more tribal direction...not a grander direction, but a new one.  Time to become Amish?
Just getting it out there...
