continuation of old style journal - too detailed
So, it is the evening of November 30, 2013, 17:40 - and I furiously worked to clean the TTYs out of my garage before the guy from Arizona showed up to pick them up for Don Robert House (in Illinois).
This is as close to "zero symptoms" as I've experienced yet !!! WOW !. Never once stumbled on a syllable today. The exercise really felt great - it was about 85F in my garage and I really worked up a sweat.
Took pictures of everything, 66 in all, documenting what was packed, how, and the condition of everything. re-named all of the pix and emailed to don and those guys who picked it up. This means I have great mental energy.
I even stopped by Home Depot to pick up chicken fencing for the backyard, measured the V and I for the new LED strips I got for Kimiyo's pantry, and updated this log.
All I ate today was
- customary oatmeal and coffee
- 1 wheat bagel
- 2 oz dark turkey meat
- 3 oz steamed fresh spinach
- ...that's all, from starting at 08:30-ish until now (17:44)
I don't feel shaky
I don't feel tired.
Now let's see if we're gonna work on the LED strips, or we're gonna veg-out in bed in front of the T&V?
Now it's the morning of December 1, 2013, 10:02 PST, and here are some updates from the DS site:

Thanks, A2. You are right, of course, and I've received other PMs (Private Messages) on the subject. Indeed, the fat that replaced my thymus is still carrying on thymic duties and likely in a degraded manner, thus the MG (according to my other source). Glad I posted it - and supremely grateful that you and others have pointed out to me that even though a well-defined thymus has been 'replaced' by adipose tissue, that tissue is likely still directing new immune responses, bad ones. Gratefully, Frank
....And so it goes.
A very weird day, Monday, December 2, 2014.
Morning tongue - expectorate test fine.
Morning 08:30 staff meeting okay with speech, albeit I spoke more softly out of fear. Made it through.
10:00 AM felt v e r y t i r e d and took nap in car.
11:45 sat at desk and began to feel as if my eyes weren't tracking? Is that right? Not exactly vertigo, not exactly double-vision...but weird feeling interfering with ability to work.
Ran to toilet twice with massive diarrhea. Constant nausea. Left work at 14:45 and drove home. Calling Dr. Frischberg's office and had girl return call within 10 minutes (I was still driving) and claimed that the eyes was the MG and to NOT stop the Imuran.
Got home and ate a banana and two plain corn tortillas, drank lots of water and lay down in bed.
about 17:00 I felt 'normal" again !?! Pretty good, actually.
Ate 4 small 'street tacos' with salsa too. then 2oz 85% chocolate.
Took evening meds, including Imuran, and went to sleep about 22:00 after taking 0,5mg lorazepam.
Tuesday morning, December 3, 2013, spontaneously awoke 05:03, went to pee (not a lot, considering how much water I'd had the evening before - maybe 400cc?)....and tongue tip feels strong, no balance problems, and started cooking my oatmeal, etc.
Have appt with Dr. Groth (PCP) at 08:15. We shall see how I feel the remainder of the morning, and how he deals with the DMV paperwork.
About to swallow morning meds: including 30mg prednisone and 60mg pyridostigmine Br.
I've noted that my vision, typing skills (crisp, quick, and error-free) seem very strong this morning.
It is now the morning of December 8, 2013, I've not written for a while.
- BAD day yesterday. Lots of problems swallowing and back pain
Was it due to the 3 beers I had last night while playing poker?
I won $221, wife lost $20 at slots - as usual
we were home by midnight, both declaring that it was a 'perfect' casino trip due to the early return and retire.
Back pain bad. 'Claustrophobic' feeling when I can't swallow. Scary. At least I've never felt on the verge of 'choking'.
Claustrophobic feeling whenever I (or anyone) realizes that they cannot perform voluntary muscle motions that they desire? Or that they realize that no matter what they do, which way they turn, they cannot 'escape' the pain?. Is it that realization as much as 'confined space'? CAN ANYTHING BE DONE to train myself to fight off the panicky feeling without the ativan (which works fine).
- GOOD day today, (so far) - again, this is the 8th.
You know (I know) no one will ever read this crap. It's just cathartic, I guess. I don't really remember the stuff I wrote here 2 weeks ago - until I go back and read it again. No one in their right mind would ever read the mundane details of my impressions and thoughts. Maybe one of my kids, if they ever got bitten by the 'curiosity' bug - maybe just once - but they'd never understand.
I've come to some good workable conclusions about life and people - Again, no one gives a crap. (And they shouldn't). As Christmas approaches, and I watch ads on TV and listen to the news, I keep finding validation for my theories. The ads are designed to appeal to our mysterious animal drives:
-the women want to adorn their lips, look sexually attractive, be adored (diamonds) and own stuff
-the men want to be perceived as strong, good looking, and own stuff
I've got a recent copy of Cosmopolitan magazine in my bathroom - amazing stuff. Talk about a cultural statement. every single page is devoted to some hedonistic aspect of self-fulfillment. We are amazing creatures.
- I wonder if I can actually do something 'productive' today (i.e. make progress towards financial security) - or if I'll just indulge myself and avoid anything stressful because tomorrow there will be pressure at my day job.?
IF I MAKE ANY MORE JOURNAL ENTRIES, THEY WILL BE LIMITED TO CONCISE AND CLINICAL NOTES
