Continued....

I went back to sleep after my last post.  It helped a little, but not much.  While I was looking for some family history stuff in boxes I found my neck brace.  I am hoping that that will help.
Things are looking better.  Waiting on the Lord to do His thing.

So it is a neck injury. I am going to assure you, that a neck brace is the worst thing you can do. I have numerous injuries, besides RA damage. What you need to do, when the swelling subsides, is build up the muscles, to take the stress of whatever you hurt. A neck brace means the muscles don\'t have to work as hard, and they get weaker and support less.

I have knee issues (RA, OA, and a torn meniscus and a bugling disc.) The orthopedic surgeon said the best thing I can do is keep the muscles strong to hold the knee in place and keep the knees tracking properly. It really works. Also for the neck. It only takes 2 weeks of not lifting weights to give me terrible headaches and pain. I just buy a daily pass at a gym when I travel, and I have a complete set of weights and a universal at home. It is a simple way to stop the pain - although i would get a sports therapist or physio to show you the best exercises, and how to do them properly. Start slowly and build up. I have been at it for 5 years, and I have amazing upper body strength, considering the amount of damage I have. Sometimes the Lord wants us to care for our bodies, the way He designed them to be used. That\'s what works for me.

Thank you again, Angela,
Yes it is a neck injury. When the car hit me in 2006 it pushed me 15 feet. When I watched the video in slow motion it showed my body being hit and the upper part snapping back over the hood. I am a pretty tall woman (5\'11\") I will defenitely look into the exercises.
