CONGRATULATIONS KAYLA, AND ALL OF THE 2013 DARE GRADUATES! :) Hi angel friends! :) my family and i are having a BIG DAY! :) it's a day to celebrate! :) Kayla, and her classmates, graduated from the DARE PROGRAM today! :) Dare program, is a very special program our city has here, DARE Stands for, DRUG ABUSE RESISTANCE EDUCATION :) It's a very nice program, that teaches the kids, about the harms of drug use. Today, we went to celebrate with Kayla and her classmates. :) They recieved their wonderful award certificates, and are having a celebration from 5pm to 7pm tonight, a special banquet dinner. :) We're so very proud of Kayla, and her classmates, for graduating. :) These are very special times. :) i made a video, and took pictures, at the graduation ceremony today. :) The kids were all so excited, they were gathering around, and enjoyed the presentation. :) It's a wonderful day today, with lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made. :) We're very happy, and delighted to share. :)

my family and i hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful day! :) i've got lots and lots to share! :) Dare Graduation, Post office adventure, and a super cool Ghost hunters party tonight too! :) There's lots of wonderful things going on. :) i want to begin by sharing, a very special big congratulations wish, for Kayla and her classmates. :) We had a great time today, going to the ceremony. :) Norwich Police department began a very special program back in the early 1980's, called DARE. It's a nice program, that educates, and teaches kids, about the harms of drug use. my sister Jenn and i both graduated from dare back in the 1990's :) it was so nice today, going to see Kayla and her classmates graduate. :)
When students reach 4th and 5th grade, they get to participate in the Dare Program. :) it's a really nice program. :) police in our city, are assigned to the schools, and each school has an officer, with assistants, that visits the schools about twice a week, and they have lessons, about how drugs, and violence are bad. They learn a lot, and they students are taught life skills, about how to cope, with peer pressure, and learn about how to help others, in certain situations when there may be peer pressure to drink, or to do drugs. These valuable life lessons are very important for the kids to know, so that they can live a happy life, drug free, and violence free. :) The officers spend lots of time with the kids during the classes, going on field trips, meeting the K9 dogs that our city has, and they get to participate in many more fun events, including going to Dodd Stadium to see the baseball game :)
Around 9:45am this morning, my mom, sister Lisa, niece Alyssa, Taylynn, and i began to make our way to the elementary school. :) we parked our mini van near the bridge, it brought back many special memories for me. :) when i was a kid, i use too walk across this bridge to school, and i remember my mom and i would find pinecones, and collect them. :) it was really sweet walking across the bridge again today, the bridge is over a little stream/pond, where we've seen ducks there before. :) We were walking, those huge pine trees are still there! :) awww! :) and little pinecones alongside the bridge walkway. :) i love to think that there's many parents and their kids picking up those pinecones still! :) awww! :) We walked over to the front entrance of the school, and entered into the cafeteria/gym. :) We got some nice seats toward the back rows. :)
They had a huge screen area with a project set up, with a stage area, and certificates, and awards for the kids. :) The 4th graders came in first. :) they got to sit along side everyone, they'll be graduating from DARE next week. :) the 5th graders lined up outside, and one student from each class, got to walk in from each side of the gym, and they walked up to the stage area. :) they had music playing. :) i took a picture of Kayla when she came in! :) aww! :) We're very proud of her and her classmates. :) The Police officer who comes to Kayla's school, spoke to us all, and to the students. :) he shared stories about his experiences teaching the kids, and how proud he is, of the students. :) he shared story about a friend, and also about his police officer partners. :) we were all clapping. :)
Students were given essay awards, and read their essays, about what they have learned from the dare program. :) it was so nice. :) it was then time, for the certificates! :) The 5th graders were each called up, and they got their award certificate, signed by their teacher, and the officer who gave the DARE lessons. :) i made the cool video of Kayla being presented her award. :) The officer then presented to us all, a nice video pictures slide-show, of many great moments, and memories they all have, from their classes, and all of the special festivities, and events they have enjoyed during the school year. :) the huge screen projector was showing the pictures. :) it was so nice. :) we saw Kayla and her friend Dana in some of the pictures on the huge screen. :) We all clapped and clapped. :) The Dare Officer thanked the teachers, for all of their hard work, and efforts, and presented to them, a gift, and the teachers gave the officers gifts. :) it was so nice. :)
After the ceremony, the kids got to get their picture taken with the officer, their teachers, and came into the crowd to greet family. :) i took a picture of Kayla holding her Dare Certificate. :) Very cool! :) it was so nice going to the Dare graduation today. :) Taylynn will be taking the same Dare class, when she begins 4th grade. :) Thank you all so very much, for joining us at the Dare graduation. :) We're so happy and excited to celebrate this joyful event with you all. :) at 5pm to 7pm, all dare graduates have been invited to attend a very special ceremony banquet. :) Kayla and her mom (my sister Lisa) are going to go. :) This is awesome! :) Congratulations 2013 Dare Graduates! :) When Kayla arrived home from school today, my mom and Lisa gave Kayla some red roses :) She loves them! :) i gave Kayla $5 in an envelope to buy some treats :)
my family and i are enjoying a wonderful day. :) This morning, my mom and i enjoyed going to the post office. :) We sure do love our post office adventures. :) we had 8 cards to mail. :) Sending lots and lots of love, and happy friendship smiles across the miles, from our home to yours. :) i had a really nice writing week, and looking forward to some more writing during the course of the week. :) it's so nice to enjoy writing. :) the post office experience went really smoothly. :) i had social interaction, and public speaking. :) i was in the sweet calm relaxing, and peacefully confidence soaring zone. :) on the way to the post office, and on the way home, i saw lots of beautiful nature sights. :) it's a really nice sunny day :) the peaceful pond is glowing! :) oh my! :) lots and lots of sunshine sparkling upon the water. :) i didn't see the ducks, but i know they are definitely amongst the pond on a beautiful day like today. :) it was so nice going to mail the cards. :) i saw some happy golden yellow flowers smiling down by the post office. :)
i'm continuing to do really well, with my healthy eating, and exercising. :) i've been in a good zone this week, with eating well balanced meals. :) yesterday for dinner, i had a baked sweet potato, fresh crisp salad with iceberg lettuce, carrots, onion flakes, italian seasoning, and italian salad dressing, with some watermelon, and an apple. :) dinnerwas delicious! :) Today for lunch, i enjoyed tomato soup, with a bowl of watermelon :) lunch was delicious! :) Thank you all so very much, for your amazing love, care, support, guidance, and encouragement, and for believing in me, and having faith in me. :) i deeply appreciate everything, with all of my heart. :) i'm with you all, all the way! :) i've been adapting well to eating healthier this week, i feel like eating healthy is becoming a nice part of my days again, and that's what i love :) i'm already feeling much more healthier, now that i'm eating better, and it's a great feeling, knowing we're taking good care of ourselves. :) Our plants, bushes, and fruit trees are doing well. :)
i enjoyed some nice nature walks today. :) checking in on the plants. :) the plants are super mega growing. : )We do have more rain in our forecast, tomorrow, and friday, possible 3 to 5 more inches of rain, which is wild, because last week we got nearly 6 inches of rain here. we need to get some more top soil to replenish areas of our gardens, and more organic soil to put around the stem bases of the plants. :) the plants are doing ok though. :) i love taking pictures to share with everyone. : )Thank you all so very much, for your beautiful comments on my pictures. :) You all are very nice, and sweet. :) my friend Holly and i have been texting today, about ghost hunters new season. :) Tonight, brand new season of ghost hunters begins. :) it's gonna be incredible! :) We're very happy and excited about the new show :) We love ghost hunters, and having ghost hunters party's :) today on syfy channel, they've been showing ghost hunters episodes from recent season, and tonight at 9pm, the brand new season begins. :) The ghost hunters party is on! :) Whooo! :) This afternoon, i enjoyed some nice quality time here on DS, and also have had ghost hunters episodes on. :) i've been enjoying some nice talks on the phone today, and yesterday, with our dear and lovely friends, Maria (Love4You), Holly, Gaye (LuvMyTitans), Jasmine (JasmineRenee), and Sunflower10 :) it's so nice talking. :) my family and i want to take this time, to thank you all so very much, for joining us on our adventures, and for sharing your days with us, and for all that you do for us. :) We're very blessed with, and thankful for your very special friendships. :) We love you all bunches and bunches! :) BIG GROUP HUG :) tonight, i'm going to enjoy some watermelon, and going to watch ghost hunters. :) There's many more great things to look forward too. :)

Sprouts :) We have many nice new sprouts, including cucumbers, string beans, and corn. :)We're going to transplant some more plants into our gardens soon :)

Congratulations to Kayla! That\'s a lovely milestone :) I enjoyed the video. The girls are growing up so fast, but then I have to remember we have known each other for a long time now really :) Kayla and Talynn are turning into lovely young ladies :) awww :) I\'m looking forward to seeing you all again. Unfortunately unless I win some money, it\'s not going to happen this year because I have to replace the airconditioner (which is the same price as a plane ticket...). *sigh* I guess we can\'t have everything when we want it!
Your gardening season is looking wonderful! Do you grow basil? I love fresh basil, oregano and thyme in my bolognese sauces. Unfortunately, I can\'t grow them on my balcony because of the possums...

Last night might sister and I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar, the arena spectacular. There was about 12,000 people there, seriously, massive stadium. It was difficult with my anxiety, but the show was just amazing! I had to spend a lot of energy battling anxiety in the first half, but still managed to enjoy it all. It was wonderful :)
Today I got some good news on all my cancer tests - All Clear!! :D
