Conflicted II

Saturday morning when Hubs and I went to the barn so he could see the new toy, we discovered a flat tire. On investigation, we discovered a good-sized hole in the sidewall. Ouch. Tire sidewalls remain nearly impossible to patch for any sustainable length of time. When we set out to find a replacement, Hubs ended up placing a special order which was conjectured to arrive early this week. I found myself jumping on the conjecture as an excuse to further delay my return to the river region. My inner bully is riled about the excuse making. Quit procrastinating and just do the do, Bitch.

This morning I was awake to watch Hubs leave for his 3 hour drive south to work, etc. I didn't feel like going back to sleep, so I have been drinking coffee and going through my wake up rituals since. My thoughts remain unfocused and that feels okay. Many solutions and/or new ideas live in the blurred regions between focal points. Being too focused makes it all too easy to rush right by all the good stuff. Where is the efficiency in rushing past all the good stuff?

enjoy the moment, I like the blurry wait too. the way the vegetation grows this time of year the tractor tire sound like a good thing to wait for. bullies should not be given into especially those within our self.
anyone willing to drive 3 hours one way every weekend really wants to see you. and needs to do that to keep up with the new hive.
the moment sounds enjoyable .

My over-sized teddy bear has crammed himself into economy airline seats long enough to get himself to the southern hemisphere to spend time with me and that's just for starters. I amnae certain if I am the love of his life or his drug of choice. Pass me the bowl, Sis, and give me your take on whether or not that distinction matters.

And then we get to all his other women inside those hives. . . Hubby got snippy with one of his co-workers and I for continually teasing him about, "his little girls." He was worried bees would never occur to Homeland Security eavesdroppers. . . He figures them for the kind of folks who think of worker bees as male.

Yea, it's been an enjoyable and possibly productive visit with the family. I'm kinda sad to let it come to an end, but. . . Insert inevitability proverb of preference here. Life is more of a journey, than a destination.

Miss you, Sis. I still wanna see you and K in the same boat. I can hardly wait to hear the fishing stories at the campfire I'll have waiting. Nope. Not laying in backup provisions this time. You either bring back some fish or we go hungry.
