Conference Trip

Well, thanks to Our Father, I am back home safely, the power of your prayers were heard and answered... I very much appreciate the prayers expressed along with the words of encouragement and support. I'd like to share with you a testimony of how the trip went, I live in South Florida and the conference was in St. Petersberg which is on the west coast just about Central Florida. The first day drove and got to St. Pete's at about 1 P.M. as I headed out to Fort De Soto Park Campground, I came across a big sign saying no vacancy at the campground, so I turned around and made a couple of stops to determine how I was going to proceed from that point, I couldn't get a reservation but figured I'd have no problems. As I'm considering leaving the area, the thought was no you didn't drive up to the campground office, so I asked God do you want me to go back, and the answer was yes, and then I asked you sure, and the answer was yes, then I said this Fort De Soto Park (kind of kidding, but looking for more reassurance) and the answer was yes. So as I reach the toll booth right behind that big sign that said no vacancy, I ask the fellow at the booth do they change that sign daily, and he couldn't answer, so I pretty mich said ok let me make it to the campground office. I get there and the ranger says I can get you a site for tonight only, tomorrow you'll need to be in line early to try to see if there's anything for tomorrow.  The next morning ( this is short version of the account) I struggle to get up to be at the line by 6 A.M., make it within first 30 minutes, but stay in the car because it was Florida Cold (low 60's with wind). About two other groups of people get in line before I do, when the rangers get there to open doors, 26 spots are available 23 RV & 3 tent, there were more than that in the line ahead of me. Stuck it out, and the college students ahead of me were all worried and trying to work things out and one said out loud he hated his life, cause the prospects kept looking as though we were not going to get a site, he turns and looks at me and said don't worry it's all going to be taken care of, whether you go east, north or south no matter, and as they walked in I said the Lord bless you. From outside people in line are looking and started asking did they get a site, and I saw them hug one another in joy and relief, and said "well they're hugging each other" and that brought a laugh out of some. When they walk out they say we got the last site, I was next in line, then came one of the rangers and said there are no more sites, because they had mentioned that the first 2-3 people who don't get a site could leave your mobile #, I decided to walk in, that other ranger says I guess you heard we just gave the last site out ... I said I like to leave my number, that I had stayed over the night, and if they could call if something was available.  He turn to the computer and said let me see if I can get you something for tonight, and I said that would be fine, he says I found something for you, then checks to see if there is something the follow night and turns to me and says you should go out and buy a lottery ticket cause I can also give you for that night also. I looked at him and said I can do better I have someone who can take care of me that's up there. And he states what great philosophy and mentioned how he is reading a book about trusting God. I had to change to three camp sites during may stay, an obtained a perspective of the campground that otherwise I would not have had, the best site was the last one... it had a tree in the middle.  There's some important information I will be sharing, scripture references, perspectives of some of the speakers, and even thoughts I gathered from what was disclosed. But the first and foremost thing to keep in mind about this all is that it's about God's Love for us (John 3:16-17) and the Love that we are to convey to others.  I was blessed in the opportunity to attend this conference and will be sharing it with my D.S. friends here... your prayers were well received and Father honored them... thank you Father, thank you Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit, and thank you friends. God bless you!
