Keeping the Barbara J on Conneaut Lake and preventing its sale to Wisconsin are significant accomplishments in the ongoing revitalization of Conneaut Lake Borough and Fireman’s Beach. CLCDC was recently awarded a prestigious award by the Heritage Community Alliance for its work in this area. The accolade is a result of the coordinated efforts of CLCDC and the Borough Council with the support of Hudson Property Management, major utilities, PennDOT, and contract design engineering firm CT Consultants.

A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts will allow the Community Development Committee to add a public art component to its revitalization plans for Water Street and Fireman’s Beach. The project will be led by artist and Allegheny College Professor of Art, Amara Geffen.
