Today is Groundhog day in the US. Does the UK have Woodchucks? A groundhog is another name for woodchucks. Anyway, if the groundhog sees his shadow on Groundhog day, there will be 6 more weeks of winter. He saw his shadow :( It\'s an old superstition because this is the midpoint of winter anyway, but given that this story is animal related, I thought you might like it :) Love, Diane
hi thanks i am back, and thanks for this comment,i am not sure what a woodchuck is, so there is a possibility that we don\'t have them and no we don\'t celebrate groundhog day, do we say happy groundhog day, or is it not like that, i have heard the word before, but didn\'t know about the day, but i think they have been here as the snow fell two days ago,so i think he saw his shadow here as well, and it is a great story, you will have to describe a woodchuck to me, prohaps we call them another name, who knows.
