Completely FREAKED out

I just called my mom to wish her happy bday and she tells me her house is being auctioned off Feb 21st! WTF??? I asked her what she was going to do, where she would live, store her stuff, etc. and she has no idea. This is typical of my family - they have no sense of responsibility and I've had to bail them all out my whole life.
Only now, I'm just too broke and too damn sick to take on their problems. Aren't parents supposed to be there to support YOU once in a while? I'm terrified she'll arrive at my door in some stranger's car loaded with her stuff and say, it's either you take me in or I live on the street!
She did live with us back in 2005. YES! That's when I got really sick with CP and liver damage and this whole nightmare started. Add in that she's pretty crippled = needs A LOT Of care. I just can't take care of her. I physically am holding on by a string and now this.
On top of her nightmarish news, I got a call from the college to come clean out my office. As in GOOD BYE. This wasn't what I was told in Dec when I met with HR. I was assured my job until fall, possible spring. AFter that I'd be on the top of the hire list, so if anyone retired, I'd get my job back.
I can't POSSIBLY clean out my office now and, what?, move back in a few months!?! That's crazy. So if I clean it out, that's the end of my life. All the years I worked for this position will be gone.
Sorry, I'm completely freaked out. I tried to call my sister and even called my hubby at work but he couldn't stay on long. I'm really upset. I'm terrified I've lost my job AND my mother is expecting/hoping I"ll bail her out AGAIN. She CAN"T live here!!! She can't!!!

Nibs, I am so sorry! You have definitely had more then your share of troubles. Take a couple deep breaths and think. Your a very intelligent person. Your right! you\'ve worked hard to get where you are. Please try not to panic. That will only worsen the problems. Godspeed and keep you in my prayers, Brian
Take a deep breath..God will close a window to open a door. I always try to remember that when things seem to go wrong here. Write a letter to HR, remember to have everything in writing when ever you respond to HR & request they respond with a letter also, that way there is no miscommunication. Let them know you when you will be able to go and clean out the office. Remember you want to leave on your terms, be positive & make them want you back. Being sick isn\'t a crime , but depending on how they dismiss you it can be on there part...
Now for your mother..we can\'t help who our blood relatives are. If she shows up at your door you have two options open the door & give her a time line to stay with you.. or don\'t open the door. There is no law that says you have to open the door when someone rings the door bell.
