Completed week 3
I am still not drinking and feel like I am getting stronger. I have had some strange dreams like I have gone back to drinking. When I did wake up from that dream I have felt so happy that it was only a dream.
I have been to many bars and parties over the past two weeks and it has been really powerful to not drink. I am watching a lot of motivation videos which is helping but I would like to get back on this site and communicate with others.
I feel so good and have lost a lot of weight but I think most of this is water retention as I am allergic to yeast and I was a big beer drinker. I have been telling people that I can't drink due to medical reasons so it is easy but the pressure to drink is so big. Everyone wants everyone else to drink..

Alcoholic dreams are common during the recover process. I don\'t get them often anymore. Usually it comes when I am in a tense situation. I think that the dream is my mind wanted to escape the situation. I work on on problem solving rather than drinking. I am going to retirement party tomorrow for my boss. I know that there will be drinking. I just tell them that i cannot drink \"doctors orders\" Work is on place where I do not let them know that I am an alcoholic.
Hi Impermanence,
My workplace is the same. I could never let staff know that I have this habit. I don\'t feel ashamed of it but that is the way it is. Thanks for your support. How long have you been off drinking for? I have been saying medical orders to.
I no longer crave to drink and I have gone to social functions and saw people that I never considered drinkers and thought how I always looked worse than them. I didn\'t like that feeling. Not drinking is no longer a head mess where I spend the night constantly thinking about the next drink. I feel in control.
I just have to maintain this.
Thanks for taking time to read and email me.
Best regards,
Stuaca
