Complaints, Complaints, Complaints...

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 – 6:45 P.M.  Today I am somewhat angry with my brother. He seems to have reverted to one of his old habits, which I did not like very much. After getting close to me for a while, he has now pulled back away from me once again. I once told my therapist about this, and he told me that it was a form of abuse. Since my brother and I are scheduled to meet with him next Monday, I intend to give my therapist a call and tell him what is happening now. Maybe he can figure out what is going on with my brother because I sure cannot do that.   On another not so happy front, my home healthcare agency has pulled another stunt on me. They have changed some of their rules, and now my personal care provider (PCP) can no longer do some of the work that I need her to do for me. This afternoon, I phoned the agency, and made a complaint to the director of staffing. She is supposed to get back with me tomorrow. If something is not done to correct this situation, I am going to call my case manager and advise her of what is happening. I suspect that if the agency refuses to cooperate with her, that she will see to it that the amount of money they receive for helping me is reduced.   I am still working on entering a program that will replace the need to have a home healthcare agency. Under this new program, I will be able to pick the persons I want to have work for me, and the state will still pay for my care. I have talked to a few people who are currently helping me now, and have asked them if they would like to continue working with me under this new plan. I am sure that I will be able to find more than enough people to help me.

I hope you guys can find out what is going on with your brother, and I hope you get it worked out with your home healthcare, sounds like the new program may be more successful than what you have going now

I don\'t see the complaints.

I see self care. I see a strong and wise man.

I agree about the brother. I think you deserve better, Jim. I wish you could just cut him out of your life because you don\'t give a rats ass about him anymore.

Sorry I\'m late Jim.......

I feel for you about your brother, and not wanting to play devil\'s advocate here, but he is older too, and does have a life and issues of his own.

For those of us who have had mistreatment in our lives, it\'s hard not to assume that behavior like your brother\'s isn\'t about us.

But it might not be. Allow for that possibility. Be flexible. If he is playing games, then deal with it, work it out. That might be something he has a hard time doing, remind him your sessions are about YOU.

And really sorry about your home care. REALLY.

Sending you a ton of Mojo

Just when you thought life was blah.

Weebs is right about your brother having his own issues.

But that last paragraph is the best...you could actually pick the people that you would like to have work for you !!?? That sounds divine.
