Comparison

I compare compulsively. Is it a strength or a weakness?
When it enables me to knock out a graphic package in record time using pieces of prior packages, it is a serious people pleaser. It earns me more than smiles.
When it robs people and experiences of their individuality... When I miss important details right in front of my senses because I am busy comparing... Not so productive.
Perhaps comparison is only a quality. Like being short or tall. A quality I can use well or I can use badly. Most times it is only there, doing nothing whatsoever.
Then we come to the compulsive part.
The current ACT group is under comparison to uncounted others I have attended. I am kinda proud of the fact that I haven't counted them. Not that I know of at the moment. It would be no great surprise if my sub-conscious abacus spit out a tally in an unguarded moment.
There are many similarities, but it is percolating through my morning coffee that this would be a bad use for comparison.
