Colonoscopy

Ok so the colonoscopy went well I suppose. All they found was 2 small polyps and those they were able to cut out. Nothing significant. I know I sound disappointed but hey when you have undergone as many tests as I have and still can't find the cause of your clotting then I guess anything is better than nothing. At least if it was something with my colon they could have cut it out and whamo no more Coumadin, but no such luck. Next is more intensive testing of my heart starting April 16 with a ultrasound and echo of my heart. I am getting so frustrated and its so dayum hard to stay upbeat when they tell me they are running out of tests to run. I have such a hard time believing that clots just mysteriously appear for no reason, but thats what the doctors are leaning towards. And of course right now my husband just isn't as understanding as he was at first. He has his own problems trying to heal from his back surgery. He doesn't realize how just having to drink that Go-lytley icky stuff took so much out  of me, then the recovery from the versed, fentenayl and what ever heck else they gave me. It just wore me down to nothing. I spent the whole day sleeping trying to figure out what truck hit me.Thank you all my dear friends for your continued support and words of encouragement. I love you all. Hugs Ferr

Ferr - I\'m so glad that nothing significant came from the tests - at least you know now that your colon is Ok !!! That\'s another hurdle over for you. I\'ve given over wondering where my clots came from because it doesn\'t really change anything - I\'ll still be on warfarin for life. Anyway - well done you!!! love Sandi xx

I am glad to hear that they did not find any nasties, and that what they did find was easily repaired. I have to say you have me worried about the taste of that mixture, I am not looking forward to it, not even a little bit. Well done for braving it, cause I am not going to be an easy patient I can tell. A friend of mine, who is a nurse told me that she will drag me to the appointment kicking a screaming if I like it or not because I actually did ring up the last planned endoscopy and cancelled it,lol. So Yea I am not very brave. A couple of things amaze me Ferr. Firstly the dr\'s told me that they have no idea how I got PE\'s and besides checking for DVT\'s did nothing more to search for a reason. Secondly, I am going for a colonoscopy/endoscopy in the coming weeks, however they tell me that any issues which may arise from there would have nothing to do with the PE\'s because it is not any way related to each other they are on totally different paths so to speak. So I would question why they thought there may be some relationship to each other. I thought initially that my anemia and suspected bleed had all had something to do with it and they said no that finding those issues was incidental because when you present with a PE they do a full blood count. Internal gastric issues do not cause PE\'s - that\'s what I am told??
