Collin Riley arrived on May 15, 2009 @ 6:32 pm

It's been a bumpy road, but at 35 weeks (May 15), they took Collin Riley out via c-section at 6:32 pm. He came out weighing 4lbs 1 oz 16.5 in. They took him straight to NICU after I kissed him for 1 second. They had to take him because the pressure on my cord was high and he was not getting the nutrients he needed. I guess there was an obstruction in the cord that was preventing all the good stuff to go to the baby. I went in on May 12 and was on bed rest until May 15 when they decided to take him out. I got released on May 19 and had to leave him there. It was a VERY emoteryone. It was a VERY emotional day for mommy & daddy. After all it took to get him to this point, to just leave him was so hard. But then on May 21, we got the call that we could take our little peanut home. He was eating, peeing, & pooping like a full term baby, he was just small. So we just need to have weekly appts with his doctor to make sure he is gaining and we are good to go! We went in on Friday and he already gained 2 oz and 1/2 inch. He eats so good, I cant wait to go on Tuesday and see what they gained. We are SO BLESSED!!  I did want to congrat all the DS ladies that got their BFPs, that is WONDERFUL news!!! Also I want to say I am sorry for not being on lately and keeping up with everyone. I hope you can forgive me. Best wishes to everyone!!!Sandy

Congrats! I am glad that Colin came home quickly from the hospital. Hayden was also early but thankfully he required no NICU time.

Oh Sandy, this is so wonderful to hear!!! I am thrilled that everything worked out well. I can only imagine how scared you must have been after everything you have been thru. Blessings to you, DH, and of course to Collin Riley!!!!! xxxxx
