Found out that my supposed prolactinoma is also growth hormone secreting. Coming off of cabergoline and will repeat labs in 3 weeks. Then probably a date with a neurosurgeon.
Found out 2 weeks ago via appointment with an endo that replaced my previous one that I most likely have acromegaly. She saw in my chart that I reported changes in ring sizes and repeated an IGF-1 and it was elevated while on cabergoline 1.5 tabs twice weekly. FUN!!
I then went on to read about acromegaly and found that I had almost all of the symptoms that I read about.
I will have aN IGF-1 repeat in 3 weeks off of meds and if elevated will consult with a neurosurgeon.
