Co-Occuring - Ugh but maybe some hope

Okay so I've been down playing the ADHD for a long time because I didn't want to have a "Co-Occuring" disorder(s)... but now I find out that for the last 6 years (time I've done absolutely no research on ED) science has linked ED and ADHD - who knew... Okay so a doctor thinks I should give him a chance with no mental/psychological feeling oriented B.S.  I've lived this way for a very long time and before tried every traditional method to treat ED and I absolutely didn't want people to know about the ADHD (although if you meet me you'd know - fast talking, bubbling, 65,000 subjects within minutes of talking to me, perfectionistic/unreliable at same time - opposites but true... best heart in the world, would never intentionally hurt anyone... but have a love em &/or leave em attitude in relationships because I expect a malaise/distance to happen...
Everyday I'm amazed that life has been so good to me... honestly didn't expect to be here and definitely not with the life I've built... But, the ED takes away from my life...& I want more... I want to be able to feel like I can get and hold any job I want... I want to be the best person I can be - always a project :)
Honestly I'm a bit excited... if this could even help for a few days... I would love to have just one normal week in my life...  But had been totally anti-Rx so not exactly sure what this stuff is goign to do... Going to have trust and try to get a healthy day, then two, and maybe more for a while... Set a  pattern and hope that when I go off whatever the pattern sticks!
Thank you so everyone who have written or passed me words checking in....
Please if you are reading this keep me in your thoughts... Thank you and best wishes!

You\'ll be in my thoughts alright! I\'m very intrigued and want to follow what\'s going on. What meds did he put you on? Sure hope this will \"work\" for you, or at least help you lead a happier, more peacefully productive life.
I\'ve never heard of ADHD & ED being connected; guess I\'m out of the loop too. But I\'ve always wondered if I may have the former as well, but my shrink won\'t even \"go there\" with me. All I am in an eating disorder, a sub-functional number on a scale.

Ooo I decided to go opposite and found an ADHD M.D. (psych) doctor who specializes primarily in ADHD in adults... I basically told him I\'ve been like this out of the womb... when I get sad its because of reality of having ADHD and ED since 3 1/2 y.o.... not because my life sucks or anything bad or traumatic (made peace with past stuff for years)... Research has showed that ADHD and some individuals with ED have brains/body\'s that absorb carbs differently than other people...I really do function and perform best under coffee - LOVE COFFEE - lol! Will let you know more as I get info... Look on the web for anything regarding ADHD and bulimia and or anorexia... really an eye opener. If nothing else I\'m willing to be a test subject to see if it work or not - I\'ll be honest what do I have to lose :)
