CLOSET in Heart lesson SUMMARY
Well, my dear peeps, I think my lesson summary is in order for you now. I started out finding this stuff in my heart's closet: The truth is this....I am an angry person. I am easily offended. I hold grudges. I am resentful. Oh, how sad this makes me to know these things! Well, I've dealt with each as my Heavenly Father has brought them out of the closet and learned much about myself in the process.
1 - I can never be truly rid of these things as I am human. HOWEVER, I can choose to live each day with a watchful eye to not let them become active again in my life as they once were. This will be a daily, hourly, moment by moment thing.
2 - God needed to clean out my heart so He could have all of the space in there, without me holding any of me back for my own purposes, own desires, own anything. The Holy Bible says:
Mt 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, are are life.
Ro 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:
Ro 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:
Ro 8:8 and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Ro 8:12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh:
Ro 8:13 for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
See, many verses and many more about walking pleasing to God by walking according to what HIS Spirit dictates.
We are to be servants, actually bond servants which were servants whose time of servitude was complete but they CHOSE to continue to be a servant to the master for life even though according to contract terms, they had done their "duty". We AIN'T TALKING DUTY, we are talking what's in our HEART'S CLOSET. My heart's desire, my heart's goal, my heart's passion, my heart's dream.
You see, one day, and it could be any moment for no man knows the hour, when Jesus splits that eastern sky I want to be able to fall to my knees in sheer awe & adoration & love being grateful and not meeting Him with a CLOSET I kept for myself with my stuff. I want Him to have ALL of me. Is this not the least I can do considering His great suffering for me?
Think with me....He chose to come to earth leaving not only Heaven, but all HIS RIGHTS that position entitled Him to. He suffered without many things on this earth because He chose to love me (and YOU!). He saw His own creation being abused by that which He had created. What great sorrow that must have caused.
I must say as Peter did when Jesus asked, "Will you leave me too?" "Where would I go? You have the words of Life."
Anything God asks, is for my good although it may not feel good at the time. My father only wants what is best for me, and I don't have to understand, I just need to trust & believe & follow.....bond servant by choice not duty.
Hugs & love my peeps. May your heart's closet be given freely to God as well......there's really nothing in there worth keeping anyway.......He's got much better stuff to put in there.
