Circumstances of life.....

Circumstances of life..... They can get you down.  The challenge for me and others with MS is living beyond your circumstances and your feelings.  I rarely ever feel good.  I think my good day would be a sick day for many people.  In any case, I am focused on living beyond my circumstances.  I succeed on most days.  Some days I fail miserably.  I think my faith helps me on most days, however when I am down, I find my faith is as thin as a string.  A string that blows in the wind.
Last night I had a doctor's appointment.  I was exhausted.  I had an ultrasound on my Thyroid.  I have a Goiter.  Strange word, Goiter.  In any case my hormone levels are within the norm, but my Thyroid is enlarged.  I don't know what the next step is.  But I certainly don't need the symptoms that go with Hypo-Thryoidism.  Did you know they are the same as MS.  I don't need double the trouble.  so, hopefully they will find something.  And treat it too!  In any case, I met a lovely lady on my way out of Kaiser.  Christian.  Full of God's Joy.  Full of Joy despite her circumstances.  It reminded me to choose joy.  I also met a man who son has MS.  He talked about acupuncture and diet and the positive affects on his Sons MS.
So, today I am focused on finding JOY  beyond my circumstances.  After all it is the season.
